Kane Brown was the guy who created an online buzz when a video of him emerged of him singing on social media with his country outstanding voice.
I think the most important thing to know it was the Susan Boyle affect, where no one would ever imagine a voice like that would even come out, he just looked like a generic guy with tattoos and piercing. He had a guitar and everyone expected him to sing an R&B cover of something, however it was a cover just not of R&B it was a country classic. Within hours he became an internet sensation. Everyone turned to twitter, Facebook and all the other social media platforms that you can put on high demand these days.
What excited me about him was how original and fresh he was, I mean most people when you think of country music for some reasons majority of people would think of heartbreak, pick up trucks and emotional music before the actual stars.
I genuinely believe he's going to be one of the biggest stars I don't eve
n just mean for country, he's got one of them voices that could easily but versatile for all genre's if he wishes to do the cross over. As most artists state that they want too, but deep down they know they don't want to as it's not really what they should be sounding like.
I'm an individual who has always been born and raised with country music around me. Yet to hear Kane Brown come on to the scene it was if country had been missing something this whole time. I was one of many to purchase his first single when it was on I tunes. "Used to love you sober" For everyone who don't know the story could be interpret however you please. I mean to me I seen the story tell a guy who used to be head over heels for this person, worship the ground he/she walked on then they allowed their demons to take over and control them to change them. Which brings me to why I feel he's a gifted songwriter because he gets you questioning the storyline and plot behind the song itself.
With the Chapter one EP it consists of five tracks the track lists are the following.

1) Wide Open
2) Used To Love You Sober
3) Last Minute Late Night
4) Excuses
5) There goes my everything
There Goes my Everything
It's one of those songs as I quoted before it makes you question the story behind it, It's such a beautiful song that could easily stop you in your tracks and have you forced to hear the words and the melody of the music. I think that's the beautiful thing about this is that you can tell he's making the music he want's too and that he wrote because he makes it seem so effortlessly.
Used to Love you sober
Purely because it was one of his first singles and I heard it before so I was excited to get the chance to even hear it again. As I said it's one of them songs that sort of make you feel sorry for the guy featured in the song because in a way he's pouring his heart out, to a person who would prefer their demons over him.
Overall what would I rate this EP out of Five.It would be seriously hard to rate it so easily however that being said it's probably one of the best sounding and creative things I've listened to from this year.
I'm excited to hear more things from Kane, purely because he's got everything that could potentially being a life long career.
5/5 - One Of the Best Country EP's this year
